Pangot is a recognised bird sanctuary of Nainital, Uttarakhand. It is popular as Pangot-Kilbury Bird Sanctuary. Located just 15 KM further from the Nainital district, Pangot is a hamlet for both indigenous and immigrant bird species. More than 500 species of birds have been spotted around Pangot, which makes it a holy grail for birdwatchers.
The famous Jim Corbett National Park lies 80 km from Pangot and you can observe the increase in animal diversity in Pangot. The trekking trail from Pangot to Naina Peak is abundant with beautiful birds.
